I am so glad that Xmas is over and I can have a little time to myself. Everyone in my household had a great Xmas. I had a very relaxing Xmas this year. I wish someone in my family would have had a get together because I really missed all the nosie an to many people in one house. I have started working on my new blog and I'm really excite all it can't wait to the new year

I am getting ready for my new photoshoot with my new collection but right now I am on the computer at the east bay works in Antioch waiting on my daughter to finish up with her appointment. I am very excited about my new line and the photoshoot. I have put in a lot time and sleepless night getting this collection together and I will be working on it until the shoot. I also have a lot of work to complete for my score counselor over the holidays so I will still be busy I have no plans to go over anyone house this year I guess it will be just me and my kids again it nice and we share gift and eat all day long.
Its another rainy wet day and I still will not be able to sale my items at the Berkeley Flea market today. I;m feeling a little down about it because I love showing my designs an talking to all the ifferent people that come to the Berkeley flea market,

I will be at the flea market this weekend selling my PJs and children hats. I know that last year the were a big hit but this will be my first time at this flea market so wish me luck. I also will be selling hobo handbags to.
I took some time away from the sewing machine to come and blog, twitter, facebook and myspace.
When they said holiay I took just that I went on a five day holiay. I didn't go anywhere but I took sometime out to have some fun something I had not done in years. I think sometime we get some focus on starting a business and taking care of all the other things we have to o we forget to have fun in the middle and I did thant now it time to turn the fun off and get back to work.
I went to the fabric store today and you know how they say 50% off the tag price, once I got ready to pay for the fabric the chasier started telling me that they had alreay mark down the fabric and the 50% was took off already and I went to explain to her about the discount posting next to the fabric and she continue to ring my items up without listen to what I was saying so I repeated myslef and she got really disrepectful and I told to get her manager and she said she was the manager an I told her that they should honor the prices and there promotion. Come to find out that they sale sign was not suppose to be up because it was the sale sign for there after thanksgiving, but some time she honor the sale but I will not shop at that store again.
So I had a bad day for fabric shopping
As I was saying that I was working on some designs to submit to some stores in the City. I have already started getting butterflies, because I never had to really sit down with someone and talk about my designs and business, so I made so card and wrote things about my clothing line and what is my target market and my mission statement, I still have not got the one line down about my clothing line that will would make people want to know more, this one is hard. You would think after all these years I would have it all down pack, but you don't know what your missing in business until to start presenting yourself to other business.
I'm like most artist trying to open some doors for myself. I know that its has been a long and hard road for me to get were I'm at in life right now but I have come to the end of the road in my career and want to take my passion and turn it into a real business an a life style. You say, I thought you had a business and I say a business does not exist unless there is a business plan to follow.
That something that I have learned working with people that own there on business and that help other people develop start ups. I been around a long time promoting my clothing line and business but I'm just turning it in to business a company
Here it is again the holiday were did the year go, I really don't know, I have been working on some holiday dresses to start putting in stores on consigment. I have a list of stores that I will go to next week and most of them are in the City. I have been working on labels, logo's and other business stuff. I have to say that I thought I was running a business but I was just getting started. I have also completed my PJ's in a bag I will also work on getting the placed on consignment.
It's hard to start a business, let me tell you until you have a business plan completed you are not running the business its running you. I will be meeting with my SCORE counseling next week to let him look over my goals and logo, business card and tags. I also will be spending a lot of time at the small business admin. the reason why I;m working with this agencies is I want to bring my designs and business to a full circle and so I can run it like a well oil machine. I want to be like Bill Gates.

Today I feeling I got off my enter for San Francisco Fashion Week and I am working on so new designs so I can start putting them on co-signment to make some extra cash.I also continue to twitter and face book. I just started back myspacing and all this writting is hard but its how you promote and get people to notice you an your work.

For me, the new year is about coming up, like seven and getting my clothing in someone store. My whole mission for the new year is to get my designers in store that the focus of the year andeverything else will come and go. I feel its time and nothing will happen unless I take some risk and chances
I finally finished my designs for SFFW, now I have to put together my resume and photo and mail them off wish my luck and a little pray want hurt
I have almost got the designs completed, but I did not meet my deadline for Friday. I am going to finish up and take picture and unload them. I was talking to another fashion designer that have submitting there work for the show.
She told me that she not sure how many enter they will be, but as we all know there's a lot of designers that or looking for there big break and I am one of them
I don't know if I would be one of the designers that is selected but at least I went for a dream and if I am not selected, I will move on to the next fashion show or sample sale and still look around for stores to put my designs in.
What the hell it took designers like Michael Kors almost 20 years to make a profit so Iknow I can do it too, I will continue to submit my designs to any open call for designers.
Let me share something with you, I really want to be a part of Gen Art, QVC and Magic so I have plans but it take time.

I have started working on my enter for San Francisco Fashion Week. Lets see I have completed my dtawing and patterning today, selected a color pallaet and got the thread together. I know that I have a lot to complete before Friday and still I do everything I have to do daily, but I feel I can do it and the workmanship will be good.
I have been having a hard time with my time management skills so what I did is completed a thing to do list so I will not lose track of what it is I must complete, Like most people I have a million things that need to be done but don't have time to do it, so I know with this thing to do list I will do well. I posted it on the mirror so I can't forget.
I know that I have been talking about posting picture of my stuff and I have not done it. I also have not learn to upload and that stuff so I will have to get them posted before the weekend when people or not so busy, I will also continue to post on my progress with the submission to San Francisco Fashion Week

I am up and running have a few meeting to attend and then I have to get things ready for my web site and for the flea market this weekend. I also have to work on a venue for a fashion show I already have the theme selected and I also have to set up some photo shoots on modelmayhem,
On Sunny I was suppose to get my car fixed but the auto tech did not get it running so I will be busing around again. I am getting use to getting on the bus and the schedule so I get around on time. I do have to leave my house early by I also set appointments and meetings close to each other so I don't spend all day on the bus.

Well its a new day with new things to complete. I try ed to upload some pics last night but couldn't, I also I"m going to a wedding and really wanted to make something really nice and I still have to keep working on my clothing line that I want to start selling and my car need to be fix so I can get the things I needed to complete all my project so today I will be busing it around trying to get the little things I need to complete my project, I still feel like I'm working a full time job. I will post later on my progress and other things
Its been a long day. I have been running around trying to make something happen good for myself, I also have been taking my grand kids to school but as you all know it hard to go back and forth on the bus with two little kids. I have not done any thing with my sewing today, But I feel a little stress out over here because there's not enough time for me
My daugther still have not took out the time to load my picture but I am going to give it a try in the morning but right now all I want to do is rest my feet. so for now I must let you go.
I have already started by day off my getting my house work done and now I moving on to the next thing which is finishing up my sewing room which has been a heavy task than it looked. I have took some pictures of my spron but I have to wait unitl someone comes home to upload them becuase I do not know how, but I will learn because its something I need to learn and I am almost finished with the first dress in my dress collection.
I still have to make some called about the fashion show and sample sale venue. I have team up with a diva ream team out of Contra Costa County. Our first meeting is in three days and I have all this stuff I have to complete before the meeting. I don't know how we get ewverything we get done in the time we have to do it.
I hoping that this new business deal goes good and we create beautiful magic together, because as you all know everybody need to work with someone and believe me I have try before and things went way bad and I'm trying it again.
Did I tell you that I am off of work for medical reason so I have the time to create something wonderful, but its taking some time to adjust to a new schedule and I mean I still get up a 4am an have nothing to do for hours. But so far I started writing a thing to do list for myself so when I find my self lost for something to do, I have my list to fell back on.

Right now I am looking for a venue space to rent to give a fashion show in Antioch Ca. I have three theme in mind but have not made up my mind which one I want to go with. I know that putting on a fashion take a lot of work but I know I have what it take to make it happen and yes there will be so full figure in the show looking fabolous.

I am not talking designer who became designers and pay other people to desiner for them I talking about black designers that made a name for them self in the fashion world. I've been working on these apron to sale at beauty colleges and salon and finally I have tested them out got some customers. Now tonight I have to a new patch of them take a look at some of my designs for salons and beauty college I embark on making some make brush holier which came out really good. My daughter goes to beauty school and has been my walking model. I also has decided to go back to the flea markets on the weekend so I can do a little marketing for myself.
I have a fashion show that my designs or going to be in and I have been reworking my designs to make sure they or what I like and they or what people will want to buy.
I'm still working as a substance abuse counselor but my goal is to still change careers. I am working on an action plan so once I change career I don't have any regrets because I know as a designers things want happen over night.
I have been reading stories on other fashion designer and seeing how they got start an what was there up and down. I also have been working with Score on line and I finally got a rough draft of my business plan. I know that before anything can happen I must have a business plan and collection put together in order to get the ball running. I also plan to keep everyone posted on the good and bad of my road from rags to riches.

I was in a fashion show this weekend called Rock the Runway producted by Mario B. out of Oakland. I was the closing act as always I used a lot of color an I designed street wear this time. I also designed 20 outfits in a week because I change my line up, after I find out that I was the closing act. The show was off the hook and there was so many good models there. I also met some new designer too.
If I had to change anything about my designs I would have made more pants because their was not enough pants in my line.
Anyway that was my weekend, I must say I love every fashion show I do with Mario B.

Its 7:11am I am up and having a little to eat so I can begin my day. First of my to do list is to get all the fabric that I will be using in my new collection together and the thread. I have to get started on making PJ's because I am doing a shop until you drop event next month. I will also be selling hat's for kids. I have to start bring in some extra money so I can buy a new sewing machine. I also have to get my sewing room in order because it look like Joann fabric right after a big sale on fabricn. I feel like I have so much to do and no time for myself. but as you know when your starting a business on a low budget you have little time for your life. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Lately I have beem really thinking about a life shange and I believe this is the best time to do it since I have been took off of work for medical reason, I have been feeling like i new to change from the inside out you know what I mean a total make over.
I decided that first thing first I will start with hair style and make up so everyday I am going to make it a point to get and do my hair and make up. It been a while since I got everyday and made sure my hair, make an clothes was at there best. Somethin g change for me over the years an I don't know what happen but I am going to stop trying to find out what happen because I kmow now that trying to find out why is keeping at the same point in life and I am not moving fora woith life or my career.
So I have started working on my slef and not everyone else. Its harder than I thought because who really wnat to look insie them self and find out they nee to do a complete 360 degree change.
Some people may say why is she talking about this on her blog an I say because I know that I am not the only woman out there that feel like there life is not going any where. I hope what I have wrote would help someone.
I use to say that I working on begin a fashion designer so its cool to wear jeans and tees all the time but its not cool to wear jeans and tees to the point were you don't feel comfortable in anything else.
So were do I start, well I feel for me getting a hair style that really work well for me is first I will find two or three style that brings out the beauty in me. Then I will start with make-up, color the will help with the rings from my glasses. Than I will start working on my clothing I mean fashion style
